Scleral lenses are ideal for these conditions:

  • Keratoconus

  • Irregular corneas

  • Corneal gas permeable lens intolerance

  • Soft contact lens instability

  • Ocular surface disease --  DRY EYE

Dry Eyes and Scleral lenses

  • Vaults entire cornea, bathing it in solution (preservative-free saline) all day.

  • Creates a built-in hydration chamber for sensitive eyes.

  • Liquid bandage also protects dry cornea from mechanical effects of eyelids blinking.
