Recycle Your Contacts

ONE by ONE Recycling Program

TerraCycle and Bausch + Lomb have partnered to create a free recycling program for contact lenses and blister packs.

Best practices for recycling –

To recycle this waste stream properly, please do not include any cardboard boxes, as these are recyclable through your regular municipal recycling service.

What happens to the waste –

Once received, the contact lenses and blister packs are separated by composition and cleaned. The metal layers of the blister packs are recycled separately, while the contact lenses and plastic blister pack components are melted into plastic that can be remolded to make recycled products.

REWARDS

With your help to Eliminating the Idea of Waste, for every qualifying shipment of 2 pounds or more from West Shore Eye Care, a $1/lb donation will be made to Optometry Giving Sight
