Meet the Doctor

Dr. Jennifer Branning

Dr. Branning earned her BA in Biology from Indiana University in 1981 and her Doctorate from Indiana University School of Optometry in 1985. She moved to Ludington in August 1985 to practice with Kenneth Tewel, Jr., MD. In 1991, Dr. Branning purchased West Shore Eye Care and created a more traditional optometric practice. In June 2004 West Shore Eye Care relocated to its new state of the art facility which includes a specialty sunglass shop and high tech equipment used to detect eye disease and help with patient education. Dr. Branning enjoys caring for children and kids love her. The new office includes a children's examination room with an "under the sea" theme, a large playroom, and lots of child friendly exam tools! Dr. Branning lives in Scottville with her husband and their two children. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and The Michigan Optometric Association and is active in her church. She enjoys traveling, scrapbooking, tennis and entertaining friends.

• Internship at The Doctor's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio
• Residency at Tulsa Regional Medical Center of Oklahoma State University, where he served as Chief Resident
• Associate Professor in the Departments of Neurology and Ophthalmology at Michigan State University
• Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology
• Member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology
• Member of the Michigan State Medical Society
• Member of the Muskegon County Medical Society
• Member of the Michigan Ophthalmologic Society
• Member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery
• On staff at Shoreline Vision ASC, Mercy General Health Partners, North Ottawa Community Hospital, and Gerber Memorial Hospital

Dr. Oltean and his family enjoy many things about the lakeshore area including boating, cross country and downhill skiing, tennis and golf.
